The Augustana College Recreational
Services Department (http://www.augie.edu/rec/swim.html) is reaping the benefits of the Jevin system for their
American Red Cross Learn to Swim (LTS) program. Since implementing the Jevin
system, Augie's LTS has seen their enrollment increase by over 15 % while the cost
of administering the program has dropped.
Registration day eliminated
The response in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to online registration has been so strong that Augie LTS has
eliminated their registration day. The number of people utilizing the convenient
Jevin system has exceeded the traffic they experienced when a registration day
was held.
"We no longer have to hire
staff, setup tables, make and hang posters for registration...The best part is
that everyone who registers is automatically in the database and on a class
roster. Prior to Jevin, we would spend a week or more after registration day
sorting through the registration forms and adding names to the instructors'
roster sheets."

Customer service improved
Augie's patrons no longer have to drive across town (or in from another town)
early
on a Saturday morning just to stand in long lines. It no longer matters if
the patrons are out of town or have a soccer game that conflicts with
registration day. Also gone are the irate people who got up early, drove to the
college and stood in line only to find out the class they coveted is full.
Convenient, user-friendly online registration from Jevin has not only improved
the parent's disposition but the Augie LTS staff is now free to personally
address some of the other issues that often arise.
Multiple payment options satisfy all
Augie's customers also benefit from being offered multiple payment options.
Patrons registering online can pay a deposit or the entire class amount and may
pay
by credit card or check. Jevin's unique data entry
service also handles all of the "paper" registrations (mail, fax, and walk-in)
so the Augie staff never touches a form and never handles a check. The
professional team at Jevin is trained to handle registration information quickly
and performs the tedious processes so that the Augie staff is free to do
the things that will help them to continually improve their program. The
flexibility of the Jevin system to accommodate check and credit card payment as
well as online and offline registration allows Augie to satisfy everyone.
Reduced mailing costs
With the Jevin communication tool, Augie has significantly reduced their mailing
costs and increased the frequency of the messages. Augie uses the Jevin
communication tool to send multiple notices regarding registration where in the
past the "one and done" mailing was employed. The repetition along with the
ability for the target audience to register immediately has helped Augie LTS
achieve record numbers.

improvement recognized by the program, the Augustana College Learn to Swim
